Wow..The Classics happened and the POGdominance continued!

Seated power is the new out of the saddle attacking, well at least if you’re Tadej.  After Tadej appeared to show a crack in his Super-human-ness in Amstel, when Remco and Skelmose caught his usually un-catchable solo breakaway and Skelmose couldn’t believe it himself that he had won, the next 2 Ardens races saw the status quo restored with Pogi riding away from everyone, seated, on the Mur de Huy to win at Fleche, then doing the same in Liege, albeit from the historical climb up La Redoute, then winning by over 1min.  

So we leave Belgium behind and shift our goal posts from the one day races to the first of the 3 week Tours and for many the most passionately beautiful of them all, The Giro d’Italia.  Without Tadej on the start line this year the field is wide open, even though Roglic is many of the bookies favorite, there’s still many contenders that could pull on the final Pink jersey in Rome, and at the very least there will be a huge battle for places on the podium and of course the weather can play a big part as it has in the last couple of editions.
